The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.
Applications are now open and can close on fifteen December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to fulfill the following criteria:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a house that has a combined gross household earnings that doesn't exceed R350 000 for each annum.
• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined house profits does not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and want not submit any proof of earnings.

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens nsfas check and permanent people from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.
Applicants are reminded to deliver the right Identity Doc numbers, names, and surname, nsfas application as reflected in their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are finding out or intend to research in a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
